Phuktal/Phugtal Gompa is a monastery which is located in Ladakh (north of India).
Suspending from the tip of a rocky canyon precariously placed under the opening of a large cave, Phugtal Gompa was built directly into the cliff side around the 12th century and it is a home for about 70 monks.
